City of Norwalk
Receives 2006 Innovation Award
The City of Norwalk received an Innovation Award at the 2006 annual conference of the Software Solutions’ User Group. This award recognizes customers of Software Solutions Inc. who are innovative in their use of SSI’s software. The City of Norwalk received the award for working closely with SSI's staff to integrate the SIRE document management system with SSI's eGovProfessional software. The City of Norwalk was the first SSI user to integrate SIRE with SSI's Financial Management and Payroll applications. Using SIRE, Norwalk can access vendor documents from their vouchers in Financial Management and can access payroll records for each employee from their payroll master file. In addition, the City is using SIRE to archive their month end and year end financial and payroll reports.
Accepting the award for the City of Norwalk was Sheila Shafer, SSI's account representative for SIRE products.
City of Wadsworth
Receives 2006 Innovation Award
The City of Wadsworth received an Innovation Award at the 2006 annual conference of the Software Solutions’ User Group. This award recognizes customers of Software Solutions Inc. who are innovative in their use of SSI’s software. The City of Wadsworth received the award for their rollout of SSI's eGov2Web, a web-based utility for inquiring, paying and emailing utility bills. To encourage their customers to use this service, the City of Wadsworth placed banners around the city and advertised in newspapers, on television and with bill inserts. In addition, they offered staff t-shirts and promotional gifts to their customers. In only 4 months, the City had over 1200 customers using this service.
